Serve

Getting involved in serving at SVCC is a great way to build relationships and will help you to grow and become more like Jesus. We believe that every person, no matter who they are or where they are on their journey, has unique gifts that can be used to expand God’s Kingdom. If you would like to sign up to get involved serving or just want more information, you can fill out this form and someone will be in contact with you. Here is a list of our areas where you can serve.

Compassion

Tutoring with Project Purpose: Invest in the lives of underprivileged children by helping them with schoolwork and sharing the love of Christ

Project Outreach Food Bank: Help sort food and hand out bags to those less fortunate a few times a year

Connection Groups

Group Leader: Help facilitate Spiritual growth by leading conversations and helping people connect

Interest Group Leader: Share your favorite hobby with a group of people to help them better connect to one another and God

Host Home: Open up your home to allow a group to meet and people to grow in their walk with Christ

Hospitality Team

Connection Cafe: Serve people refreshments and coffee to help build an atmosphere of community

Greeter: Welcome people who come through the doors of our building

Valet: Greet each car in our parking lot and help direct traffic

Usher: Handout connecting points to our guests and help them find seats

Media

Photography: Take photos for our website, videos and other special events

Website Development: Assist in updating our website with new content and features

Graphic Design: Create graphics and edit photos to be used in our print, digital and web media

Video Production: Shoot and produce videos for SVCC, which will be integrated on our website and during service

Next Gen Kid’s Ministry

Baby volunteer (Ages 0-18 months): Help care for babies in our nursery

Toddler volunteer (Ages 18 months to 3): Interact with energetic toddlers and help with activities that will lead them closer to Jesus

Pre-K volunteer (Ages 3-5): Lead songs and creative lessons to give the Pre-K children a greater understanding of God

Kids volunteer (Ages 6-12): Build relationships with kids and participate in the activities to help them learn to follow Jesus

Setup/Tear Down: Come before service to set up the kids' rooms or stay following service to tear them down

Security: Keep our kids safe by giving parents and children I.D. tags and making sure our environments are secure

Childcare (during the week): Babysit for one of our Connection Groups during the week and receive a small stipend

Meals

Meals Team: Make and deliver meals for people who are facing life circumstances such as having a baby or going to the hospital

Setup and Tear Down

Main Room Setup: Setup our main room before service with chairs, signs and curtains

Truck Driver: Drive our truck with all of our supplies to the school to help us set up and make church happen

Truck Loader: Following service, help load all of our boxes back into the truck to be ready for the next week

Single Mom’s Ministry

General help: Assist with helping on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month where single moms can come and join together for community and prayer

Special Events

Breakfasts: Help set up or cook food for our breakfasts which happen 2-3 times a year

Summer Fun Camp: There are many ways to get involved in our annual Summer Fun Camp which happens in the beginning of the summer. Be on the lookout for more information

Worship/Production

Projection Technician: Setup the necessary equipment and run ProPresenter for the service and other special events 

Sound Technician: Arrive early to set up and run the sound for the service 

Lighting Technician: Assemble lighting equipment and run the lights for worship and the service 

Worship Team - Vocal (Audition): If you have the talent of singing, we welcome you to audition for the team which leads worship

Worship Team - Musician (Audition): If you play an instrument at a high level, we welcome you to audition for the team that leads worship

Youth Ministry

Youth Leader: Serve youth ages 13-18 with the goal of helping them learn to follow Jesus in our Wednesday night environment
